Rest In Beats Entertainment Private Limited (Rest In Beats, we, us) publishes the music news site at www.restinbeats.news. This policy explains what we collect when you visit, why, who else receives it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we never sell your data.
When you read an article, the following is collected automatically:
• Pages viewed, time on page and referring site, to understand which coverage people read. Processed by Google Analytics.
• Approximate location (city or country, from IP), to understand where our readers are. Processed by Google Analytics.
• Device type, browser and screen size, to make the site work on your device. Processed by Google Analytics and Framer.
• IP address, to deliver the page and for security and abuse prevention. Processed by Framer and Google.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or payment details anywhere on this site, because we currently have no forms, no newsletter and no accounts. If we add any of those, we will update this policy before they go live.

We set analytics cookies only after you agree to them. Until you do, none are placed on your device.

Third parties that receive data
Loading a page causes your browser to contact these services. Each receives your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering content:
• Framer — our hosting platform. Serves every page, image and font, and collects aggregate traffic and performance data.
• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — audience measurement, after consent.
• Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
• Apple — our Artist of the Month player loads album artwork and track previews from Apple’s servers.
• Instagram (Meta) — if you follow our Instagram link, Meta’s policies apply from that point. We do not embed Instagram tracking on our pages.
We run no advertising networks, no third-party ad trackers and no social pixels.
Why we are allowed to process this
• Legitimate use — delivering the page you requested and keeping the site secure.
• Consent — for analytics cookies, which you can give or withhold when you first visit, and change at any time.
How long we keep it
• Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• Server and CDN logs held by Framer: per Framer’s retention schedule.
• We maintain no separate database of reader information.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
• Access — tell you what personal data of yours we hold.
• Correct — fix anything inaccurate or incomplete.
• Erase — delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
• Withdraw consent — for anything you previously agreed to.
• Nominate — name someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to.
• Complain — raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
To exercise any of these, write to our Grievance Officer below. We will respond within 30 days.

This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child’s data has been collected, contact us and we will delete it.
