Sidhu Moose Wala's Signed to God hologram tour has been postponed indefinitely, his father, Balkaur Singh, announced on Instagram on October 18. He cited the situation in Punjab and the protests that followed the killing of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota last week.
Moose Wala's Calgary show at Scotiabank Saddledome, scheduled for October 19, was cancelled, along with the tour's remaining U.S. dates.
Singh first posted his statement in Punjabi and later shared an English version on his Instagram story. "For me, my constituency, Mansa and my Punjab always come first," he wrote. He apologized to fans in Calgary and the U.S., saying he would return and present his son's music "in an even bigger and better way." He described the postponement as temporary, though no rescheduled dates have been announced.
The tour opened with sold-out shows at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on October 9 and Rogers Arena in Vancouver on October 15. Moose Wala appeared as a 3D hologram alongside his original vocals, marking his first stage appearance since his death in 2022. Guests across the two nights included AP Dhillon, AR Paisley, Steel Banglez, Sunny Malton, and Raja Kumari.
Diljit Dosanjh also paid tribute to Jhota in an Instagram story over the weekend, writing that "the entire Punjab is with the family" and that the family "should get justice."
Moose Wala became one of Punjabi music’s most widely recognized names, rising quickly after he began releasing songs while studying in Brampton, Ontario. Canada remained a stronghold for him. His album Moosetape debuted at No. 33 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart in 2022, making it the highest-charting Punjabi album in the country at the time of its release with his music still charting.
Moose Wala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot and killed in Punjab on May 29, 2022, at age 28.
