Lollapalooza India 2027 Reveals Full Lineup With Olivia Dean, Limp Bizkit, KATSEYE, and Fontaines D.C.

Lollapalooza India is back for a fifth edition, and this year's lineup leans into an idea the festival has quietly been building toward for years: artists caught not at their most nostalgic, but at the peak of their current cultural moment. Headlined by Olivia Dean and Limp Bizkit, the 2027 edition also features Katseye, Fontaines D.C., 5 Seconds of Summer, and Steve Angello, alongside a deep bench of homegrown and international names, at Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 23 and 24.

The Lineup

Nu-metal band Limp Bizkit, R&B and pop artist Olivia Dean, girl group Katseye, Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, and Irish rock act Fontaines D.C. are among the top names making their India debut at Lollapalooza India 2027. Rock artist St. Vincent, EDM producer Steve Angello, Japanese DJ-producer Yousuke Yukimatsu, and drummer Stewart Copeland of The Police, performing alongside composer-producer Ricky Kej, round out the international top tier.

Among top-billed Indian artists, singer-songwriter Anuv Jain is set to bring what organizers describe as "a distinctive sonic and visual world created exclusively for the festival." Fusion veterans Indian Ocean, instrumental act Blackstratblues, singer-songwriter Kayan, Rajasthani folk ensemble The Manganiyar Seduction, post-hardcore band Scribe, Gujarati artist Aditya Gadhvi, and fusion artist Varijashree Venugopal are also on the bill.

The heavier end of the lineup includes Ecca Vandal, Pinkshift, and The Lightyears Explode, while the hip-hop representation comes from Swadesi, Yashraj, and Ranj x Clifr. A wider stretch of indie acts — including Meewakching, Janisht Joshi, Run It's the Kid, Dohraj & The Peculiars, and Karshni — fill out the undercard.

A Long-Awaited Debut for Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit's appearance carries some history: the band was originally slated to perform in India as far back as 2013, before their scheduled Fly Festival appearance fell through. Frontman Fred Durst told Rolling Stone India at the time, "I really want to visit India. We were very excited to meet our fans there and experience your culture. This mishap has only made me more determined to perform in India. I hope it is sooner than later."

More than a decade later, the band's Mumbai debut also arrives on the back of a genuine commercial resurgence for nu-metal — a genre largely dismissed as a late-'90s relic until Limp Bizkit landed their first No. 1 album in 25 years in late 2025, driven in part by an audience too young to have experienced Significant Other the first time around.

Pop's Two Extremes, Same Stage

Olivia Dean's headlining slot arrives fresh off her Best New Artist win at the 2026 Grammys and the global success of her album The Art of Loving, following her earlier record Messy. Her acoustic-leaning pop-R&B sits in sharp contrast to Katseye, the Los Angeles-based girl group formed through the Dream Academy project, known for precision choreography and viral hooks like "Gabriela." The current touring lineup includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung, though it remains unconfirmed whether members Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman — both currently on health-related hiatus — will rejoin the group for the Mumbai show. Lara Raj's sister, fellow Indian-origin pop artist Rhea Raj, will also perform at the festival.

A Post-Genre Bill

That same logic extends across the rest of the lineup. Dublin post-punk band Fontaines D.C. — who will release their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, in October, following their latest single "Marianne" — share billing with house producer Steve Angello and nu-metal veterans Limp Bizkit, a combination that would have felt improbable on a festival poster a decade ago. Also on the bill: Swedish House Mafia's Angello for large-scale electronic sound, Japanese selector Yousuke Yukimatsu for chaotic, genre-blurring sets spanning gabber, noise, metal, and techno, and Belgian duo 2manydjs for their own brand of genre alchemy.

5 Seconds of Summer's inclusion bridges yet another generational gap. Guitarist Michael Clifford told Rolling Stone India back in 2022 that the band had "always wanted to come to India," calling a potential show there "a dream." Their Mumbai debut finally delivers on that, arriving for a fanbase that grew up on the band as an entry point into pop-punk.

Local Programming and Cross-Cultural Collaborations

The festival's regional lineup runs deep this year, staging a direct conversation between heritage and contemporary sound. Stewart Copeland's collaboration with Ricky Kej brings Police Beyond Borders, the 2023 album featuring Indian artists including Salim-Sulaiman, Shankar Mahadevan, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, and the Berklee Indian Ensemble to the stage. Gujarat's Aditya Gadhvi, intimacy-focused songwriter Anuv Jain, and folk-fusion group Indian Ocean sit alongside The Manganiyar Seduction's multi-sensory performance and Yashraj's shape-shifting take on Desi hip-hop. Both Kayan and Yashraj are set to debut new bodies of work live for the first time at the festival.

Taken together, the 2027 lineup reflects a festival less interested in building a bill around a single sound or era, and more focused on capturing where different corners of music, global and homegrown, legacy and emerging, happen to be intersecting right now.
