HYBE has announced TUIDE, the first girl group under its new label, ABD, set to debut August 24 with their debut EP, Tune & Play. The seven-member group - Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah and Yi Hani - comes from South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, with members born between 2006 and 2011.
The group was introduced through a set of visuals and a video titled “Introductions: WE TUIDE,” in which members chant the group’s name across multiple languages over a shifting beat that moves between Korean, English, Japanese, and French. ABD said the mix of the members’ backgrounds and personalities is meant to give the group a distinct identity that resonates with fans globally.
Production on the EP is led by Han Sung-soo, known for his work with Seventeen, TWS, IZ*ONE, and After School. Ahead of the release, the group held a two-day preview event, TUIDE Exclusive Preview [Playground], at Layer Studio 11 in Seoul’s Mapo District, performing all five tracks from the EP live for the first time. According to ABD, the members’ skill and confidence drew a strong response from the audience, even though little about the group had been publicly known beforehand.
ABD, short for “A Bold Dream,” is HYBE Music Group’s newest label dedicated to developing girl groups. The label’s name reflects a creative philosophy built around “imagining ‘D’ instead of the expected ‘C’ after ‘A’ and ‘B,’” according to the company, with an emphasis on experimentation across genre, culture, and language. TUIDE follows the 2025 debut of CORTIS, BigHit Music’s youngest boy group, as HYBE continues to expand its roster of global-facing acts.
Tune & Play releases August 24 at 2:30 p.m. IST (6 p.m. KST).
