Gorillaz will perform in India for the first time in the band's 25-year history, with two shows scheduled for January 2027 as part of their ongoing Mountain Tour. The band will play Bengaluru on January 23 at District Arena @ Terraform, followed by Mumbai on January 27 at Jio World Garden, BKC. The dates were announced on April 9, 2026, and presented by District by Zomato, which will handle all ticketing through its app.
The India dates follow the February 27, 2026 release of The Mountain, Gorillaz' ninth studio album, portions of which were recorded across Indian cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Jaipur, Rishikesh and Varanasi. The record features collaborations with Indian musicians Asha Bhosle, Anoushka Shankar, Ajay Prasanna, Asha Puthli, and brothers Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, alongside a broader international roster of contributors.
Band co-founder Damon Albarn said bringing Gorillaz to India had "been and remains a dream" of his, while illustrator and co-creator Jamie Hewlett said the band was "very excited about returning to play shows in Mumbai and Bengaluru." A Mastercard pre-sale window opened April 13, ahead of general ticket sales on April 18.
